Djordjevic made his only #USMNT cap under some interesting circumstances against #Mexico in a World Cup Qualifier on Sept. 10, 1972.

Below is a short excerpt from real US soccer history expert David Wangerin’s book Soccer in a Football World.

Djordjevic started the match for the #USMNT before being replaced at halftime for Johnny Moore.

Fellow #OneCapHero Dieter Ficken also played in this match. 

Gene Geimer opened the scoring in the 8th minute for the Yanks. Ceballos and Borbolla scored for #Mexico in the 2-1 loss.
