Player Profile: Alexi Lalas

Born on June 1, 1970, in Birmingham, MI, the defender played in ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น after the 1994 World Cup and before the 1996 MLS Draft. He would play the next seven seasons in the MLS before retiring in 2003.

He made 96 USMNT caps, scoring nine goals — third-most among US defenders. His biggest was the second in a 3-0 win over ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ท in the Copa America on July 14, 1995.

Born on June 1, 1971, in St. Paul, MN, the defender started his pro career in 1994 in various leagues in ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ. He enjoyed a stint in ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช before returning to the MLS, retiring in 2009.

He made 43 USMNT caps, scoring three goals. His first came in a 3-0 win over ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช on Feb 6, 1999.
