Player Profile: Alexi Lalas

Born on June 1, 1970, in Birmingham, MI, the defender played in 🇮🇹 after the 1994 World Cup and before the 1996 MLS Draft. He would play the next seven seasons in the MLS before retiring in 2003.

He made 96 USMNT caps, scoring nine goals — third-most among US defenders. His biggest was the second in a 3-0 win over 🇦🇷 in the Copa America on July 14, 1995.
