Born on April 9, 1925, in St. Louis, MO, the goalkeeper played a vital role in the #USMNT from 1949-53, making 9️⃣ caps.
He is most known for making several key saves in the 1-0 upset of ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ in the 1950 World Cup.
He died on Feb 2, 2015.
