Player Profile: Carlos Llamosa

Born on June 30, 1969, in Palmira, 🇨🇴, the defender played in 🇨🇴 until 1990 when his family emigrated to the 🇺🇸. He restarted his career in the A-League in 1995 and was drafted by DC United two years later. He spent the next 11 seasons in MLS, retiring in 2007.

He made 29 USMNT caps after becoming a naturalized citizen in 1998. Here is a tackle he made against 🇧🇷 in the Confederations Cup on July 28, 1999.
